Redesigning the poster for the Bluegrass Big Mouth Festival in Tennessee was an exciting challenge, aiming to capture the essence of bluegrass while adding an unexpected twist. The goal was to balance tradition with innovation, staying true to the festival’s roots while creating a visually striking piece that stands out.

The design features two musicians as the main focus, but they’re not alone: they’re accompanied by a horse, a reindeer, a wagon wheel, a rope, and even a UFO! This mix of classic and fantastical elements creates a unique visual atmosphere that reflects the vibrant and diverse energy of the event.

The color palette, with warm reds, yellows, and blues, evokes the intensity and dynamism of the festival, while the combination of rural and surreal details invites a surprising visual experience.

This project was an exploration of contrasts: tradition meets the unexpected, rural meets the fantastic, resulting in an image that not only captures the essence of bluegrass but also appeals to a modern, curious audience.
